Swaplanet plans to complete a new round of financing, with the new funds to be directed to its expansion abroad, towards the end of the year. As Elena Stamos, one of the company's three founders, told Capital.gr, about €2 million will be needed for this purpose. Swaplanet's initial goal is to expand from early 2024 to Belgium with a hub, so that from there it can serve the Dutch and French markets, while the funds will be used for Marketing, Communications, Operations, core recruitment and facilities.

Swaplanet is the first sustainable children's fashion platform in Greece, which aims to reduce wasted clothing and the money parents spend on children's clothing. Swaplanet solves the issue of clothing waste by creating a streamlined process, helping parents to swap their children's clothes, shoes and books for the ones they need, and plans to become a leader in the circular economy.

The sustainable fashion startup completed a bridge financing round of €168,269k in May, in which Alumni Ventures participated from the US, in addition to existing investors. The company will invest these funds to accelerate its user development and introduce more sophisticated back-end technology to improve the speed of operations.

Swaplanet has so far successfully completed three rounds of funding. In 2021, it completed a pre-seed round with 100k euros from investment firm Think Bigger Capital, with the funds being used to create its website and launch its operations in Greece. In 2022, it completed a second round of seed funding of 415,385 thousand euros from leading investment firms such as Helidoni Foundation/Zeno Capital and Genesis Ventures, as well as Greek and foreign angel investors through the Hellenic Business Angels Network and Acasia Angels from Egypt, and others. The funds were used to expand its operations in Greece, including moving to a new location and hiring staff in the new premises.
